Author: Hi I currently live in San Antonio, Texas. And I would like to know if somebody know where do they rent Cessnas where you can fly them into Mexico. I want a C182. Nobody wants to rent them they have had problems with people carring ilegal stuff. Or if somebody here has one that wants to lease it

that would be a no no with border patrols and the immigration thing and the elevated terror alert you probably would have to fly to mexico on a commercial airliner rent a plane a one of their airports and fly in mexico no cross between the two unless maybe if you do IFR but th renting is going to be a problem.

Our flight club had a "no Mexico" rule unless prior arrangements had been made with the owner. In fact one of the club members did come to an agreement with the owner by giving him a $50,000 check as deposit…
Keep in mind that you will have to land at a designated airport for customs when returning to the US. Check with aopa.org – they had a useful article on the subject.
