when you rent a jet, where do you take it? what is your favorite place to travel to on your private jet? do you like warm and sunny places with clear blue waters? when you rent a jet do you like cold wintery places that you can snow board or ski down a mountain? There is so many choices to choose from when you rent a jet.
but i don’t know how to fly a jet you say. this blog will give help on finding a flight school and it might even be accelerated learning.
There are many benefits to using private jet charter, although it does come at a hefty premium versus flying commercially:
1.) Time Savings – You can avoid long lines and waits at a commercial airport for checking in, security, and boarding with others. You simply drive up to your jet minutes before your flight and board. You can also typically fly to airports that are closer to your start and ending destination, saving travel time on those legs as well, since private jets can access 10x as many airports just in the U.S. than commercial jets.
2.) Comfort – Hate that middle seat or those cramped rows? Private jets have much more comfortable seating arrangements as well as more luxurious amenities.
3.) Security & Privacy – You always know who is flying with you – just you, and your guests. No worries about unruly passengers or outbursts or even the possibility of terrorism or other violent acts taking place on board. If you are planning to work on the plane, you can also conduct your calls, meetings with other travel passengers, or just work on your computer without worrying about sensitive information being overheard or seen.
4.) Travel with Your Furry Friends! – If you should ever need or want to travel with your pets, they don’t need to be relegated to the horrible conditions of a cargo hold. On a private jet, they can travel with you in the cabin.
There are many reasons and people are always motivated for different reasons to choose this method of travel.

Definitely do your research – there are many companies that can provide charter services out there. These companies can range from large, highly professional organizations to a single individual with a website and a phone number who would be largely unregulated by any governmental organization. If you want a company that provides a level of service and safety oversight, as well as provides financial stability (if the company requires you to prepay, which many do – you want to make sure they’ll still be in business by the time of your flight … quite a few of these little charter companies have gone out of business in the past 18 months and left trails of customers in their wake).
Questions to Ask:
1.) How do they decide which planes / operators their company will work with? Does the company have a selection process to ensure that poor quality jets are not used or do they rely just on the operators to abide by FAA reg.s?
2.) What reputation does this company have? Do a search online … are there customers who’ve complained of bait and switch or other deceptive practices? There are companies that will sell you on one jet and then ‘claim’ on the day of the flight that this jet has become unavailable and send a poor quality, smaller jet in its place – offering no discount. Generally, a well established company with a large customer base is a good sign.
3.) How stable is the company financially and what is their corporate ownership structure?
4.) Do they have any dedicated staff to safety, such as a Chief Safety Officer?
5.) What kind of pilot experience requirements do they have? Do they simply go by FAA guidelines or do they have additional standards or higher levels of training or experience required?
6.) Do they offer 24/7 staffing or are you reliant on a salesperson being available for any last-minute changes or issues? If you have an early morning flight or international flight happening outside of standard business hours – how assured are you that you’ll reach someone if something comes up?
This is a good list to get started with that should cull out a number of the less professional organizations.

“[Y]ou know who so far has been spared the populist wrath? The Drug Enforcement Agency — the DEA. The DEA has an Aviation Division, they have 106 planes of their own. But that did not stop them last fall. When we were all collectively outraged that bailout money would finance corporate travel, they paid $123,000 of our money to charter a private jet to fly their acting director Michele Leonhart to Colombia. Did I mention that the DEA has 106 planes of their own?”
